Emma is the âexpert by knowledgeâ to Laurenâs âexpert by experienceâ; and together, they form the heart and soul of ELLES.
With a Doctorate in Child, Community, and Educational Psychology from the Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust/Essex University (2020), Emma brings depth, dedication, and decades-worth of training to everything she does.
Emmaâs not just a âDrâ she also has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with classroom experience across mainstream primary, secondary, and specialist SEMH settings. Which means she really gets the systems families are navigating. Add to that a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Clinical Forensic Psychology, and frontline experience in CAMHS, LD services, and forensic mental health, youâve got a powerhouse of insight and empathy.
Emmaâs approach is deeply person-centred, creative, and strength-focused. She believes in choosing the right tools for each unique situation, and that real growth starts with strong, safe relationships and trust, which form the bedrock of her practice.đ€
As our only EP, Emma wears many hats, from main grade to principal EP – often all in one day! Her specialisms include SEMH, Autism, and supervision, and sheâs currently expanding her skills to work as an expert witness.
Her thoughtful, person-centred approach ensures that every child, parent, or professional she works with feels seen, supported, and empowered.
Emmaâs the brains, the balance, and the brilliant calm at the centre of our psychological work, and we couldnât do this without her.
